So for the last time, he tried dialing and calling Allie. He would do anything just to keep her with him. He was so bothered about the thought that Allie might be with Noah at the very moment. Until, he remembered Allie’s mother talking to him about Allie being deeply in love with a young man in New Bern long, long time ago. He remembered Allie mentioned about New Bern the last time they talked when she asked for permission, making him more bothered. He is thinking about where Allie has gone. But a little detail of Allie from this very moment bothers him. Never of those in firms and courts bothered him. Losing even a single case is not frequent to him. He mastered the law, and would always charm the jury. He was never worried as before, even in the many cases he have handled. He has been calling the hotel for how many times, from seven to eight-thirty, and until nine o’clock in the evening, but the man from the hotel would just tell him that Allie has not returned yet home yet. Noah, watching Allie leaves, whispered the most painful thing to himself, “She’s engaged.” After having Allie’s sensual voice heard, he even wanted Allie more. There are no monuments dedicated to him and his name will soon be forgotten, but he had been lived another life with all his heart and soul, and to him, this has always been enough. He has lived the life opposite to what he thought it would be. He is 80 years-old, and it has been a long time ago when he last felt being warmed.
